Les Greves in Beaune is considered one of the best terroirs in the commune. The central section of Les Greves is a famous plot known as Vigne d’Enfant Jesus, owned exclusively by Bouchard, produced the stunning Vigne de l’Enfant Jesus wine, a very structural and long aging potential wine. As such, this commune’s wine quality is good. The bouquet is very enjoyable with a floral fragrance with a hint of violets and ripe cranberries. The mouthfeel is stunning, and the most outstanding character as compared to the 2018 vintage is the stunning refinement of its finesse, this extraordinary finesse gives me a feeling that I’m wearing a Zegna suit, ultra-elegant and upmarket. It seems that Paul’s winemaking skill is getting better, as I can see the huge improvements compared to past vintages! (3/2023)

Tasting Notes

An intense garnet colour with light ruby garnet reflections.
On the nose, a very concentrated aromatic palette with ripe red and black fruits, roasted strawberries, crème de cassis and spicy notes as well as some hints of thyme and savoury.
It expresses itself with a volume and density that broadly envelops the mouth, with a finish with intense tannins accompanied by sweet spices.


Food pairing

With this wine profile, it is necessary to bring meats with texture and a bloody character for the intense fruitiness.
A roast pigeon served rosé accompanied by crunchy green peas, drizzled with the concentrated cooking juice or a nice pink duck breast, with crispy skin served with roasted white asparagus to bring texture bitterness and flavour. a duck sauce.
