AROMA

This wine's aroma is as elegant as it is complex, with a delightful medley of flavours that include creme brulee, nuts, caramel, almonds, hazelnuts, spices, and citrus.

FINISH

The palate of this port wine is skillfully balanced, exhibiting exceptional precision and a complex array of flavours. The initial taste is sweet, followed by a pleasant acidity that balances the sweetness perfectly. As you continue to sip, you'll notice the subtle presence of spices, which gradually intensify, culminating in a remarkably long and spicy aftertaste. Additionally, notes of creamy creme brulee re-emerge, adding to the wine's overall richness and complexity.

WINEMAKING DETAILS

Viticulture:

One of the hottest and driest years in Europe in the 20th century, with record-breaking heatwaves and droughts, but still, we managed to obtain some high-quality wines despite the difficult conditions.

Fermentation:

Crafted with care, this wine was fermented in granite vats, which helped to preserve its natural qualities

Aging:

After fermentation, the wine was aged in 550 liter chestnut wood barrels until it was ready for bottling, in 2023. This process imparted a unique flavor profile to the wine, resulting in a well-balanced and refined taste.
